Future Southeast Asia is moving
The newsletter is moving from Substack to Beehiiv.
Hello Future Southeast Asia subscribers! As mentioned last month, I am moving the Future Southeast Asia newsletter from Substack to Beehiiv. There is a transfer process set up by Beehiiv, but I suspect there will be some problems. The main problem (so far) has been that Substack has sent an email to paid subscribers saying that their paid subscriptions are cancelled. Your subscription is still active and has been transferred to Beehiiv. Sorry for the confusing email sent by Substack!
The regular Wednesday newsletter should be going out this week, followed by the subscriber-only News Extra. The newsletter can still be found at
It appears that Substack has cancelled payments, but please let me know if there is a double payment at your end. Thankfully I am doing this while I have downtime in Australia. I look forward to getting back on the road later this month to continue reporting about transport and urban development in Southeast Asia.

Good news James hope others follow you and Stuart in removing support from Substack despite the extra work it involves in moving perhaps at the same time perhaps explain why if you didn't in the previous letter which I missed
